## Position Available: Operation Staff (Shipping Agency)
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing vessel movements and ensuring seamless logistics coordination from pre-arrival to departure.
Key Requirements
To excel in this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Educational Background: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any major; candidates from maritime academies or institutions are strongly preferred.
* Experience: Open to entry-level professionals with 0 to 2 years of experience in the shipping industry.
* Communication Skills: Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written, to facilitate international coordination.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong computer literacy and a solid foundation in shipping regulations, customs procedures, export-import protocols, and agency management.
Core Responsibilities
As an Operation Staff member, your daily contributions will be vital to our fleet efficiency. Your primary duties include:
* Operational Planning: Developing and executing operational arrangements for vessel calls aligned with strict scheduling requirements.
* Vessel Oversight: Monitoring the movement and activity of vessels from the moment they are appointed until they safely depart.
* Documentation Management: Preparing and submitting all necessary pre-arrival documentation to port authorities and relevant stakeholders.
* Coordination: Managing arrival notifications, berthing schedules, and the booking of essential services such as pilots, tugs, and mooring gangs.
* Regulatory Liaison: Coordinating vessel in-clearance processes with Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, and Port (CIQP) authorities, as well as independent surveyors.
* Performance Monitoring: Tracking loading and discharging activities to ensure efficiency and compliance with principals' instructions.
